The Nigerians in Diaspora Organization Americas (NIDOA) was formed in the year 2000 with a vision to harness the expertise, knowledge base, skills, networks, and economic strength of Nigerians resident in the diaspora. The organization is a global body operating by a continental structure. We are the continent of the Americas and a driving voice of our global presence. We currently have three countries in active operations, USA, Canada and Brazil.
The organization is the single representative body recognized and signed into law by the Federal Government of Nigeria as the umbrella body for Nigerian citizens in the diaspora. It serves as the unique platform for intellectuals, technocrats, policymakers, professionals and Nigerian residents in diaspora to build their local communities, consolidate their resources, impact their host countries and extend the same to impact Nigeria, their origin.
NIDOA also supports the Nigerian government’s focus on promoting Nigeria as an investment destination in Africa to the world. In this sense, the organization partners with other foreign communities and professional organizations within the public and private sectors to harness the potentials of their collective effort.
